The department of Dermatology and sexually transmitted diseases was set-up in the wake of increasing skin problems and over whelming desire to have & keep the skin at its best, by not only by women but also by health conscious males. It has gradually added new facilities and has established well with recognition. The dermatologist and co-specialist work together as a team so that patients derive maximum benefits of multi specialty hospital. Skin diseases are on the rise possibly due to changing social environmental factors. This poses great challenges to our department. We offer expert treatment for disorders like vitiligo (leukoderma), psoriasis, acne and eczema. Other areas where the department specializes are pigmentary disorders.

Our state of the art dermatology department is providing photo therapy (PUVA & UVB) to treat vitiligo, psoriasis etc. with exciting results. Phototherapy is also an effective tool in treating generalized itching due to renal disease.

The department is totally geared to meet the challenges of the sexually transmitted diseases. These Patients are being managed by department in conjunction with other specialists as needed.

Electro Cautery, Electrolysis PUVA Machine are used for treating a big variety of dermatosis that need medical & cosmetic treatment like:

In addition, the Dermatology Unit, in coordination with Urology Unit, deals with a big variety of sexually transmitted diseases, sexual dysfunction, infertility etc.
