Ever advancing/ growing department dealing with the patients of Neurology, Cardiology, Pulmonary diseases, Gastroenterology, Endocrine, Rheumatology, Hematology, Nephrology and allergic diseases. The Unit is run by the respective professionals round the clock. Resident doctors are all the time available to attend the patients immediately as and when needed. Patients/ Families/ Attendants are educated about their diseases and how to deal with these diseases and their resulting sequelae, limitations. Medical staff is assisted by a team of dedicated and polite nursing staff, who leave no stone unturned to give extraordinary nursing care services and to help patients/families understand very important preventive guidelines during their hospital episodes and as well as at their homes. Individual attention is paid to the patients and to keep them from forgetting all that was educated/ conveyed to them. Relevant simple, understandable, and up-dated hand-outs and brochures are given to the patients to be taken to their homes and diet charts/ schedules are also given to every diabetic, cardiac, renal, post operative patient, so that they can keep on trying to improve their life style. All the patients are also encouraged to do daily light exercises and to eat healthy foods and all the resources are utilized to make them comprehend about their prescribed home medications and care needed. |

This professionally dedicated unit starts daily by scheduled morning rounds (thrice times daily) to all the patients by the treating physicians (Consultants, Specialists) accompanied by the resident doctors along-with the nursing staff, and as per condition of the patient, so that treatment is continuously being monitored along with patient's condition change. Laboratory and radiological facilities are always present to be used whenever required like: portable X-rays, Echocardiograms, portable Ultrasound. Bedside procedures are also performed under strict preventive disciplines and CDC guidelines to achieve patient safety goals. The Inpatient department has a back up of intensive care unit and coronary care unit ready to accept any serious case either referred from the wards/ units or from any outside facility. The in-patient gynecology and obstetrics unit has same facility including round the clock support of On call pediatricians, in case of need, and well equipped nursery, observation unit, and neonatal ICU with ventilators. Special Procedures carried out (when required) are: 1. Paracentesis. Apart from the special procedures, routine Invasive and Non-invasive procedures are done efficiently, like: placement of urinary catheter, Nasogastric tube, I.V.Cannulation, ,Bladder wash and wound care. All the patients are encouraged to accept Hospital diet, so that they practically know what they are supposed to take at home and they understand their diet modifications, by the help of dietician, nursing staff and doctors. |
