This Unit is providing 24 hours emergency care treatment for Orthopedics and trauma cases. Orthopedic staff is available round the clock. The Unit is equipped with Image intensifier (C-ARM), X-rays, C.T.Scan, Arthroscopy and is supported by the Physiotherapy & Rehab. Unit.

Orthopedic Unit manages the following cases:

• Some congenital cases (in infants and children like: TALAPIS, Equinovarous and Valgus etc.)
• Infectious and inflammatory arthritis.

• Rheumatic disorders.
• Repair of Injured muscles tendons.
• Muscle injury or weakness & tumors.
• Trauma injuries.
• Correction of Fractures.
• Implementation of blades and screws.
• Implementation of interlocking.
• DHS.
• Correction of displaced fractures and joints.
• Arthroscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Extraction of different foreign bodies under Image (C-Arm).
• Management of fractured pelvis.
• Management of compound fractures.
• Management of oesteomylitis.
• Removal of bone masses and tumors.
• Bone grafting.
• External and internal fixation of different fractures of long and short bones.
• Implementation of intra-medullary nail and silk wires.
• Different uses of external fixators.
• Deprivement and curettage of infected bone.
• Sports Injuries
• Amputation of comminuted and destructed bones (finger, toe and all limbs). Etc.

Patients with critical and complex orthopedic injuries have rapid access by ambulance to the Tertiary care hospital (Makkah or Jeddah) specially who has vascular injuries.

• Hematology, Clinical Pathology, Microbiology and Culture Sensitivity and Histopathology.
• Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation.
